    Q: Lighting orders
    How long till I get my light?

    A: Lighting is made to order. Please allow 4-6 weeks. It will take longer during seasonal peak times. If you desire to have your light prior to a holiday event, be sure to order a good two months in advance to ensure delivery prior to your event. The closer we get to a holiday, the busier our lighting folks get!

    Q: How do you ship?
    Do you ship Fed Ex?

    A: We ship UPS or US Priority Mail. We use Priority Mail to ship Globally. We prefer to not use UPS to ship Globally as the paperwork for UPS Global, far exceeds the profit from the sale of merchandise. :-)

    Q: Shipping fees
    How do I know my charge for shipping?

    A: The SHIPPING FEES page on the site, has shipping charts to see what you will be charged. This fee includes insurance. If the item is a large oversize box, or needs two boxes to ship, or if you are in a higher shipping zone (ie: CA, AZ, WA, etc) there may be additional shipping fees for only the added amount to get it to you. Global shipping will also incur extra shipping fees.

    How long have you been in business?

    A: We've been in retail since 1989 and have owned two different storefronts over the years. We now sell online only. We've been on the web, as Farmhouse Primitives, 9 + years.

    Q: Payments Accepted
    How can I pay?

    A: We welcome Visa, MasterCard and Discover thru our secure server (Authorize.net). You may also pay with Paypal.com . We will accept a personal check, but merchandise will not ship, for approx. 10 days, allowing time for funds to clear our bank. Money orders will be accepted as well.

    Q: How fast do you Ship?
    How fast do you ship my merchandise?

    A: If you notice, when looking at the merchandise offered, you will see a "ship time" on most all items.
    If it says "immediate" the item is kept in stock. If it states a time frame, it often means, your item must be created to your specifications, such as color, etc..........we try to keep multiples in stock, but custom work is just that........."made to order". We work very hard to get our custom woodwork out in approx. two weeks. This of course depends on the workload. Textile items from our weaver, may sometimes take 4-6 weeks to become available. All textile items from the weaver, are made to order.
    The items marked "immediate" ship time, does allow for 2-3 days processing, as your CC funds will not deposit confirming your payment, for approx 2-3 days. If you use Paypal.com, please expect a 3-4 days processing time. All items ship after the processing time period. You're always invited to inquire on order time.
    All of the above factors, must be figured in to the seasonal demand, or volume of orders we recieve, which are variables in the time frames.

    Where are you located and what hours are you open?

    A: We are located in Indiana. However, we sell online only. And that allows us to be open 24/7. You may reach us via telephone 10-5 thru the week at 317-861-1207.

    Q: Out of Stock Items
    I need something that is out of stock. Can I get it?

    A: Many items can easily be requested, if they show as "sold out". We take orders for items out of stock all the time. But, we do not take orders for items we are not going to restock, so please inquire. Items ordered in for a customer, must be paid for in advance, just as tho it is a special order, if you want to ensure delivery when it's back in stock. Many popular items, do have waiting lists, so, many times when an item is returned to stock, it will still show "sold out", as it was spoken for prior to being in our hands. If you would like to make sure you can obtain the item you want....please phone us with your inquiry. We'll get you added to the waiting list.

    Do you accept returns and how do I do that?

    A: We will accept returns within a specified time frame, but you MUST phone us first. Please see our Return Policy listed on our site, for details. We cannot refund on everything, so please read this policy carefully prior to placing your order.

    Q: Can you feature my home?
    I love to look at the homes on tour. Can my home be on there?

    A: Absolutely! We do ask that it be in relation to our merchandise.......primitive or Colonial. And pictures must be submitted in .jpg format as well as resized for quick load times. We are ALWAYS looking for new homes to feature. And we gladly send you a "reward" for helping us find a new home.

    A: If you can receive Global Priority Mail we are able to ship right to you. We do not use UPS for Global shipping due the paper work required. Global Priority Mail is our choice of method.

    I might sign up on the mail list, but I don't want to get junk mail.

    A: We do not share your info with ANYONE! We do enewsletters each month, sometimes a couple of times a month. We do occasionally, have promotions with several emails involved. We also send out holiday greetings to our email list. All of these mail outs may contain info on new items, specials, special discounts, coupons, and fun things.
    If you purchase from us, you will be added automatically, but you may remove your name by following the links at the bottom of each newsletter, if you wish. We completely understand if you wish to be removed from the newsletter list.

    A: Weekly, sometimes daily. If you scroll to the bottom of the splash/introduction page, under the newsletter sign up area, you will see a date.........this is changed when I update so you know there is something new somewhere on the site.

    Do you ever take time off and close the site?

    A: It happens very seldom. But if that does happen........I ALWAYS announce on the splash/introduction page, the dates that I will not be shipping. I will announce the times, when the orders will be processed. I have a laptop that travels with me in the event that I must be gone, so orders are processed and saved, just not packed till I return home.

    Q: Credit Cards
    I've ordered from you before. Do you have my info still?

    A: No. Sorry. We no longer process CC payments, unless you phone your order in to us. Authorize.net does all handling of our CC purchases. This makes us "PCI Compliant" and is a security measure for the use of your CC. You receive an email from Authorize.net upon your purchase, showing your card was used, and the amount charged to you. If you do phone your order in to us, we process your CC with Authorize.net's Virtual Terminal, and your CC information is then shredded right here at our computer desk.

    Q: Layaways
    How do I do a layaway?

    A: Simply contact us with a list of all items you wish to purchase. We will figure your shipping fee, and set up 3 equal payments for you. Please consult our Layaway Page on the left hand column to read the particulars. This is a very popular method for many folks, to purchase without a large outlay of cash all at once. We are pleased to be able to offer it you!

    Q: Multiple Items to Purchase
    I'm trying to purchase 4 of this item, but it won't let me.

    A: This will occur when you are trying to order more of the item than we have in stock. Our web site keeps track of an "inventory quantity", and will not let the customer order more than we have. If you can use less of the item than you previously attempted to order, try that and see if this helps.
